Made With Love
Our coffee selection for February is a very unique roast from Antigua. What makes this coffee so unique is that multiple small producers work together to create a carefully crafted and high quality coffee that is made with love. We love the flavor profile of this coffee because of all the sweet chocolate-y notes. It makes for the perfect Valentine's Day morning coffee. We hope you enjoy!

Hunapu -
Hunapu is the indigenous name (in Quiché) that the ancient Mayans gave to Volcán de Agua, where Antigua is located. This selection is from small producers from the areas of Ciudad Vieja and San Miguel Dueñas near Volcán de Agua and its slopes.
The Process: After picking the cherries, the coffee is taken to Bella Vista for wet and dry milling. Coffee is separated by lots (day of picking, variety, altitude) before going through the process of de-pulping, fermentation, washing and drying. The coffees is sun-dried on patios or in Bella Vista's greenhouses which allow the coffee to dry uniformly in a controlled environment.
